LIVE...from my driveway

UPDATE (9:23 pm) - The fire is still burning out of control. There are manditory evacuations just north of us a few blocks. Many of the families in our apartment building are leaving for family and friends out of the city. We are now packing some things and considering heading up to my dad's in Santa Clarita. Thanks to all of you who have called to check on us!

This is the view from the end of my driveway on Los Feliz Blvd. at 2:42 p.m.

You're much closer than I am, but the smoke is all over Glendale, and I'm just glad I don't have respiratory issues. I just spent 30 minutes trying to move three miles from the 5 to the 134 fwy from Burbank. Apparently, the "suspect" arsonist burned himself, and is now at Hollywood Presb...

I hope that at present you all are safe! This is a reminder of the joys of SoCal I'll be returning to from Thailand in just over a month's time. Sheesh.
